The 20th Tokyo International Film Festival’s “Tokyo Sakura Grand Prix” winning film directed by Elan Kolirin "The Band’s Visit" turned into a musical on Broadway, and finally reaches Japan with the Japanese original direction.

THE BAND’S VISIT won 10 Tony Awards, making it one of the most Tony-winning musicals in history.

Although it's a simple story about an Egyptian police band who came to Israel on a concert tour and got lost and had a one-night exchange with the local Israeli people, it gives off an indescribable charm.

In this work, people from two countries whose mother tongue is not English are having a conversation in broken English. In order to convey this texture to the audience, the Japanese version does not use the production performed in New York and dares to challenge it with an original Japanese show.
